The darker times anthology is my favorite among the short story collections I have read off . There is a good mix of different themes, well edited, and you can't beat the price. If you are looking for a nice well rounded collection of stories that won't make your eyes bleed from the horrible grammar mistakes, give this one a try. Hope volume four is in the works!
The stories in this anthology vary in subject material, but they all deal with "dark" themes - many of which are very classic, terrifying horror tales. From serial killers to the paranormal, there's a monster for every taste. The intensity of horror lends itself very well to the short story format, and the Darker Times Anthology gives a good sampling of scary.
I would deffinatley recommend this anthology, very entertaining! It has some really great short stories that are all wonderfully written.
Decent stories, nothing special stands out. OK for a rainey day when nothing is on the boob tube. Maybe I've becomed jaded.
All the stories Kept me interested except a couple of stories I didn't like the endings, But I would recommend the book
ok this one doesn't stand out. Granted I read a lot and can remember some memorable spots in novels and short stories, but alas, this one mustn't been as great. Oh I know I read it. The first story I remember..but after that apparently i went blank. When a book does this to a reader, be warn, thehe true horror could be that you don't remember this later!!
28 quick reads that come at you from many different directions. 12 of the stories reflect situations that could really happen --horrible things being done by real people. The other 16 contain elements that require you to believe in ghosts and things supernatural.
